Got a sunken slab that's more of a nuisance than a disaster? Polyurethane lifting fixes it without tearing anything out. We drill small holes, pump expanding foam underneath, and the slab rises back to grade in minutes, not hours.
Richardson Concrete Lifting uses this method most often on driveways and walkways where the added weight of a mud slurry could work against you. The foam is light. It won't push a slab back down the way heavier fill sometimes does once clay soil shifts again.

How Our Polyurethane Concrete Lifting Process Works
Step 1Site assessment
Measure the low spots and mark injection points.
Step 2Drilling access holes
Small holes placed at calculated intervals across the slab.
Step 3Foam injection
Two-part foam pumped in and left to expand.
Step 4Monitoring lift
Watch slab rise in real time with a level nearby.
Step 5Verification
Recheck grade against the surrounding surface.
Step 6Patch and seal

Polyurethane Concrete Lifting FAQs
What's the difference between mudjacking and polyurethane foam lifting?
Mudjacking pumps a cement-based slurry under the slab. Polyurethane injects a lightweight expanding foam through much smaller holes. Foam cures faster and adds less weight, which matters on clay soil that's already prone to shifting.
How long do I have to stay off the concrete after it's lifted?
Usually an hour or two before walking on it, and you can typically drive on it the same day. The foam sets fast compared to a slurry mix.
Is polyurethane foam lifting permanent?
It restores the slab to grade and holds well, but no lifting method stops the ground from moving entirely. If the soil under a section keeps shifting, that area may need attention again down the line.
Does foam lifting work on driveways?
It's one of the more common uses. Foam is a good fit for driveway sections near the garage or street where you don't want added weight sitting on already-soft soil.
How much foam does a typical job use?
Depends on the void size and how far the slab has settled. Small spot lifts use very little; larger sunken sections take more material.
Can foam lifting fix a slab with a crack running through it?
It can lift and support both sides of a crack, but it won't seal the crack itself. We can talk about a sealant or patch alongside the lift.
